    The image looks serene.

Think about how badly it would smell though. There’s an important quality there that you need to emphasise – maybe in the presentation. And it’s very similar to the Detroit ruin porn image: catastrophe’s are hugely photogenic. But they are catastrophes nonetheless. Play the sterilised quality of the image against the steaming and stinking pile of refuse.

maybe the person in the foreground can be some wearing protective gear ? for odour and contamination?

I also wonder if it might be framed better so that it has a degree of ambiguity. Is it a window or a painting? If the window was less floor to ceiling, that might work. Or if the camera pulls back and we see more floor/ceiling? I am looking for the exact ratio – there’s a famous image of a gursky framed photograph in a gallery. Will keep looking.

For example this image – though in this one the room composition is bad, but is useful regarding the content. Is it a Window or Image?:

thanks, will look have a look how it can be framed better… its not supposed to be a frame but maybe ambiguity is good as one can discuss the fascination with the catastrophe/its terrible impact
