I am working on a Rossi style drawing. Adding bit by bit, still many more to come… The idea is to create this one plate showing all parts of project in one so it could be like an introduction to a project.

At the same time I am analysing ideas of other drawings that I am aiming to produce, thinking of internal spaces too if there are any.

I had this idea for another drawing where concrete blocks overtake one part of London and it starts looking like a Berlin Holocaust Memorial in an enormous scale. On the other hand it reminds me of Manhattan, dematerialised Manhattan. Just a thought that I wanted to write here.

Let me know please if you have any thoughts or comments.

Hey….how you doinnn. this is good start! I like it. Here is the link from the exhibition at the MAXXi in Rome, it was called ROMA INTERROTTA, which literally means Rome cut off. Few architects RE-CON the Nolli plan and here there are several examples… I think it can be so useful! http://www.sartogoarchitetti.it/index.php?/esposizioni/roma-interrotta/

I m not sure about the old map… as natasha mentioned before you dont want to be nostalgic. it would be better to have a current version of london.
Maybe even have different layers of maps… from the super old to the now to the fictional future…?
also i would recommend that you draw (actually lines etc…) the parts of the map where your concrete block is.
like sabrina mentioned during your last tutorial: the presence of the concrete block MUST change the place where it sits as well as it SHOULD change to fit where it is.
ACTION = REACTION (like anny says…)
Carve the concrete! carve the city! make it matter in place!

    my suggestion:
    1. print that map
    2. tracing paper over it
    3. trace the map
    4. move the blocks/ create views
    5.insert it in the map
    6. you will now have few layers of informations and different maps
it would be nice to have a series, I think it is good though, try to move from photoshop into the making (which can be tracing) of your own drawing..
