Update 2

archipelago-outside-view3

I’ll have to print and see which option is better…. I like the left half on option 2 and the right side on option 2 but not sure if the details will be too small if I shrink the second drawing to fit….

I’ve been working on the 2 collages we talked about on Friday , rethinking the thesis and how things tie in together to design the the archipelago at the scale of the table installation and at ‘No-man-land’ scale.

I have also found this amazing reference which helps me make the technical drawings for the roof runway. – It won the engineering equivalent of the Oscars hah

The new drawing is very nice! Are you going to fill the bottom level with some kind of events or leave it empty? What’s the idea behind of merging two drawings?

Madeira airport reference is very cool indeed! Big like!

Thank you D! well, I see them as moments in the archipelago and they’re set in no-man’s land. I want to talk about them separately but then be able to connect them in a long panorama-like drawing. They each describe a kind of displacement and absurdity. I’d like to have them co-exist and maybe have a conversation and describe the fact that they are on the same site. – There were multiple ideas that made me want to merge them..
I’ll draw another one which will merge as well (not sure what the third one is yet).

Merged drawings are cool – the whole series together will be super interesting.

Thank you! Yeah I want to make the third one, but not sure what it is yet. If I were to print at the same scale as I had the 1st one at the jury then the 2 together are 2.5 m long…I feel like it would be to huge. I want to test print and see if I can make it smaller without losing the effect.

Loving the people going down the stairs!
